Free Parking (For Some) At Balboa Park Starts Today | Newsradio 600 KOGO

Starting today, San Diego residents will be able to park for free at Balboa Park.

The new “free parking pass” will allow those who live in the city to park free any time in seven of the park’s 12 lots. They are:

Pepper Grove
Federal
Upper Inspiration Point
Lower Inspiration Point
Marston Point
Palisades
Bea Evenson.

These are the parking lots that will still require you to pay.

Space Theater
Casa de Balboa
Alcazar
Organ Pavilion
South Carouse

Enforcement of the parking fees won’t begin right away. Visitors will receive written warnings during the week of March 9th, but starting March 16th tickets will be issued.
