BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding a woman accused of spitting on a victim after a verbal altercation.

Police said on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at around 7:14 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in the 2700 block of Chester Avenue and initiated a verbal altercation.

The suspect spat in the victim’s face before leaving the scene on foot.

The suspect is unknown to the victim, and described as a woman in her 30’s with short black hair.
