LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State freshman opposite Wojciech Gajek has been named Big West Freshman of the Week after leading the Beach to a 2-0 sweep of CUI. Gajek delivered a dominant all-around performance across seven sets, totaling 24 kills while hitting .486 (24-7-35) and averaging 3.43 kills per set. He also averaged a team-best 4.79 points per set, adding eight service aces, five digs, and three total blocks in the pair of victories.
