VISALIA, Calif. (FOX26) — A man died at the hospital after a motorcycle accident on Highway 198 on Monday.

Emergency response teams responded to Highway 198 and Akers Street of a report of a solo motorcycle crash just before 3 p.m.

During the investigation, it was discovered that a man riding a Harley-Davidson Sportster was traveling westbound on Highway 198 in the middle lane.

The driver, for an unknown reason, turned and crashed into a raised curb along the roadway, causing him to be ejected.

He was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
