Crews battle fire at Alum Rock Park in San Jose – NBC Bay Area

Firefighters are responding to a blaze at Alum Rock Park in San Jose.

The fire was reported at 2:29 p.m. Thursday.

The San Jose Fire Department said the park was evacuated by rangers and Cal Fire is providing air support.

Residents were asked to avoid the area.

#SJFD firefighters are responding to a Tier 1 vegetation fire at Alum Rock Park. Fire reported to be approximately the size of three football fields. The park is being evacuated by Park Rangers. CAL FIRE to provide air support. Please avoid the area.
