BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died after crashing into a tree on New Year’s Day as 39-year-old Andres Lopez Pablo of Taft.

California Highway Patrol said officers received a call about a crash on January 1, at around 8:30 a.m., at the intersection of South 10th Street and B Street in Taft.
An investigation found that Pablo was traveling east on B Street in a 2013 Honda Civic when he crashed into a tree.
Pablo died at the scene.
