HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is celebrating yet another achievement in his long career in comedy: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
It comes one year after his handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
His star was unveiled Tuesday on Hollywood Boulevard, right near the Buffalo Wild Wings. Iglesias dedicated the star to his late mom, Esther.
He’s been doing stand-up since 1997 and was the first comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium for a show.
Iglesias, who is nicknamed “Fluffy,” told the crowd laugher is one of the most beautiful things and that being a comic was always his dream. During his speech, he singled out various folks in the crowd, including his agent.
“Yes, he booked me in Saudi Arabia. I don’t care. Yeah, I bought a house with that money so I don’t care what you say. ‘Fluffy’s a sell-out!’ Damn right I am! I sold out Dodger Stadium and I sold out SoFi Stadium, so say hello to the sell-out!” Iglesias said.
The busy comedian has a new tour, and he will take the stage at SoFi Stadium for that on March 21.
