LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State returns home this week for a three-match stretch at the Rhodes Tennis Center, looking to build momentum as conference play continues. The Beach enters at 5-6 overall and 2-1 in the Big West, with two nonconference matches ahead of a key league contest to close the week.

The homestand opens Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Seton Hall, followed by an 11 a.m. matchup Thursday against Youngstown State. Big West action resumes Sunday at 11 a.m. when UC Davis visits Long Beach.

The Beach is coming off a 5-2 Big West road loss at Hawai’i. Long Beach State secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, continuing to show reliability in pairs play. Paulina Franco added a three-set 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles, but Hawai’i took the remaining courts to seal the decision.

Doubles consistency remains a strength for the Beach. Translating that early advantage into multiple singles wins will be a focal point this week. Managing the quick turnaround between Wednesday and Thursday will be important. At 2-1 in league play, protecting home court against the Aggies is critical as the Big West race begins to take shape.
