Anaheim Fall Festival & Parade: What do you do when your 100th birthday party is in the rearview mirror? Why you party on, which is exactly what this community favorite will do Oct. 25. A car show, costume contests, the spooky Halloween Tree, and characters that have charmed generations will add to the day-into-night festivity.

Screenings, festivals, and Halloween everything: We’re headed into the last weekend of October, so now is the time to find eerie events. The Marina Spooktacular pops up at Burton Chace Park Oct. 25 and 26, there’s a plant-inspired bash sprouting at LACMA Oct. 25, Haunted Little Tokyo is the place for an Oct. 25 block party, The Huntington’s conjuring “Strange Science” Oct. 24 and 25, a Witch Paddle will set sail in Redondo Beach Oct. 25, and Whittier has a museum maze full of folklore frights Oct. 25 and 26.

Happy P-22 Day: A free festival honoring urban wildlife and the incredible legacy of the mountain lion that did so much for the critters of SoCal is set for Griffith Park Oct. 25. A bevy of activities that celebrate nature, and deepen our understand of the animals that roam our canyons, mountains, and even neighborhoods, is on the schedule. Festival of Flight: Wing your way to Long Beach Airport on Oct. 25 for a free daytime event spotlighting all sorts of aircrafts and the area’s incredible skyward history. Food will be for sale, and there’s live music, too, but be sure to wear “sensible shoes” as you’ll cover plenty of ground as you admire the planes on display.

Grand Ave Arts: All Access: Downtown Los Angeles has a bouquet of music-centered, art-strong, performance-perfect venues, and on Oct. 25 several spots along Grand Avenue will stage pop-up shows and concerts for anyone who stops by. Activities for kids and other uplifting diversions are on the schedule. The five-hour happening begins at 11 a.m. and stretches from Temple to 6th Street, sweet.

Fall Corgi Beach Day: Hundreds of Corgis are expected in Huntington Beach for a bevy of cute competitions, contest showdowns, and hijinks in the sand. It all raises a happy howl Oct. 25 and entry?
