New restaurant ‘Ichi Shabu’ to open at Campus Pointe next week

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — You may have noticed signs up for the newest restaurant coming soon to Campus Pointe near Fresno State.

Action News stopped by “Ichi Shabu” as it hosted friends and family for a soft opening.

The spot serves up Japanese-style hot pot that allows you to customize the ingredients you put into a broth base.

“Shabu Shabu means swish, swish in Japanese and that’s when we cook with each of these burners, our guests will have their own individual pot and then we will bring out different meats, vegetables, seafood,” owner Jason Lin said.

There are seven broths with different spice levels to choose from.

“Ichi Shabu” opens its doors next Tuesday, October 28.
