Lillian Schwartzberg
OBITUARY
Lillian was born in Chicago, IL. to her parents, Harry and Elizabeth (Bessie) Samuels. In the early thirties, the family, now joined by brother Nathan, moved to San Francisco, CA where they were raised. On New Year’s Eve, 1945, Lil met Seymour (Sandy) Schwartzberg and they were married six months later on June 9th, 1946. They were later joined by two daughters, Lynne, 1951, and Rena, 1961. Lil enjoyed many activities throughout her centurion life, beginning with sports as a child and once married, found aerobics, square dancing, bridge, bowling, gin rummy and mahjong, to name a few. At the young age of 70, Lil discovered a love for painting. The walls of her home reflect the passion she discovered through her art. Lil was a bookkeeper by trade and enjoyed the friends she made through her work. She and Sandy spent 57 years together before he passed. She also lost her brother Nate, too soon, when he was only 60. Lil is survived by her daughters, Lynne Cacciotti, Rena Schwartzberg, and Rebecca Mikel who joined us in caring and loving her to the end. Also, her grandson, Alex Cacciotti and nieces, Sarah and Jennifer Samuels. She also shared a special connection with her furry love, Lily.
A graveside service is planned for Thursday, March 5th, at The Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Road, San Jose 95124. Section, Shalom Gardens
