SAN DIEGO— DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and RecruitMilitary® will co-host the San Diego Veterans Job Fair on March 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Liberty Station Conference Center. The event is free to veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel, and members of the National Guard and Reserve.

According to the press reelase, more than 51 employers actively seeking the unique talents of America’s veterans will be on-site, representing industries from construction to medical to administrative and logistics, with career opportunities ranging from entry level to senior management.

Attendees can also access career counseling, resume assistance, networking with fellow veterans and military personnel, and support with Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and claims assistance, all at no cost.

This year, DAV will sponsor more than 95 in-person and virtual job fairs. Since launching its employment initiative in 2014, DAV job fairs have generated more than 200,000 job offers in the military community and continue to expand to new locations, per the release.

To support employers, DAV published The Veteran Advantage: DAV’s Hiring Guide for Employers of the Military Community, offering tips and practical tools for recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans with a service-connected disability.

DAV’s National Employment Director Jeremy Yost, a service-disabled Marine veteran, is available to discuss trends in veteran and military spouse hiring, employment resources, and job opportunities in the San Diego area and nationwide. To arrange an interview, contact Yost at 859-442-2061.
