OAKLAND, CA — A man is claiming to have been digging for buried treasure while high on meth when he found human remains inside a suitcase at Cesar Park in Oakland last month, according to a report from The Mercury News.

The legs and feet inside the case on Feb. 16, were the second such discovery of human remains in Oakland in just as many weeks, according to the report. The first set of human remains were found in the 9700 block of San Leandro Street in East Oakland on Feb. 1., according to the report.

The remains in both instances belonged to the same person, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Homicide detectives are investigating. No suspects have yet been named, and the victim has yet to be publicly identified, according to The Mercury News report.
