A person was found shot in the 2800 block of Grasslands Drive in north Sacramento, police say.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — The Sacramento Police Department are investigating a shooting in north Sacramento on Wednesday night. 

Just before 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Grasslands Drive for reports of a shooting, police said. 

When officers arrived, they found male victim with at least one gunshot wound. 

Details on the victim’s shooting are unknown.  

Police said officers are on scene attempting to contact a suspect who is believed to be in the area.
