A police pursuit involving a possible stolen vehicle began in the Foothill Division area of the San Fernando Valley and stretched across the San Gabriel Valley on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The pursuit, which reached over 100 mph at times, started shortly before 10 p.m. in the Pacoima/Arleta area. NewsChopper4 images showed the driver of the black truck driving through residential surface streets.
Authorities said the truck traveled from the San Fernando Valley into the San Gabriel Valley, passing through Whittier and El Monte during the pursuit. The vehicle alternated between city streets and freeways while maintaining high speeds.
At one point, the driver entered a residential cul-de-sac before continuing to flee, weaving through neighborhood streets.
The chase covered a long distance across the region as officers attempted to keep up with the speeding vehicle.
Further details about the driver or whether any arrests were made were not immediately available.
