Grossman said in a press release that deputies responded to the area shortly after 7 a.m. after receiving a report about a “suspicious person” in the area of Northeast 35th Court and Fifth Avenue.

When deputies arrived, they made contact with an armed person, and at some point, a “deputy-involved shooting occurred,” Grossman said.
