ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland Imagineers offered a behind-the-scenes tour of the Avengers Infinity Defense attractions that are currently under construction at Disneyland California Adventure.

The news comes after Disneyland filed an updated building permit with the city of Anaheim for the construction of a 110,000-square foot attraction building with restrooms, officers and an employee break room as part of the Avengers Campus expansion currently underway at Disney California Adventure, according to Theme Park IQ.

According to the report, the permit also calls for the construction of 3,400-square foot outdoor canopies and nine awnings.

The tour was given by Walt Disney Imagineering structural engineer Alanna Marshall in a video posted to YouTube.

In the video, Marshall showed viewers the structural supports of the building that handle gravity loads from the weight of the building and lateral loads due to seismic activity.

Video footage showed the building and highlighted the overhead catwalks that will hold video projectors, audio speakers and other elements inside the dark ride attraction.

The construction, Marshall said, is in preparation for the upcoming Avengers Campus attractions: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab Attractions.

The Avengers Infinity Defense attraction will take riders aboard a world-jumping spaceship to remote worlds and alternate realities throughout the Marvel multiverse.

The Stark Flight Lab attraction will be set inside Tony Stark’s workshop where riders will ascend at the end of a robotic arm during a simulated flight.
