LONG BEACH, CA — Online fundraisers have been started for victims who were killed when the car they were in crashed near the Long Beach Airport.

Isabel Acevedo, Caleb Gainer, and Amber Delgado, who were all 22, and Brian Delgado, 28, were killed when their vehicle struck a median on Lakewood Boulevard near the Long Beach Airport and then exploded into flames.

Now, the loved ones of three of the victims have started GoFundMe accounts to raise funds for their families.

A fundraiser started by Gainer’s grandmother, Delores Johnson, states that Gainer and Amber Delgado were dating. Brian Delgado was Amber’s older brother.

“We are raising funds to help cover Caleb’s funeral costs and to support his mother as she grieves her son. The expenses that come with such a tragedy are overwhelming, and we want to ensure Caleb’s mother can honor him without the added stress of financial worries,” a fundraising message on the site states.

As of March 4, the fundraiser has raised about $5,300 of its $10,000 goal.

A separate fundraiser on behalf of the Delgado siblings has raised more than $29,300 of its $30,000 goal. It states that Amber was in the final stages of becoming a registered nurse and that Brian was a manager at an auto parts store.

The fundraiser seeks money for funeral and memorial services, as well as burial and cemetery expenses.
