An inexperienced driver crashed after speeding down a Fresno street, destroying two fences and striking a parked vehicle, the California Highway Patrol reported on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Clinton Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling at high speeds, according to a Fresno-area CHP social media post. The car left the roadway and plowed through property, hitting two fences, and a parked vehicle in a driveway.

No property owners were injured in the crash, and the driver escaped serious injury, CHP officials said.

“Just because you have a driver license doesn’t give you the right to destroy other people’s property because of poor choices like ignoring the speed limit,” CHP stated in the post.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of excessive speed combined with driver inexperience, according to authorities.

CHP urged motorists to “slow down, drive within your abilities, and keep it between the lines.”
