WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump said Tuesday he would be making an endorsement soon for the Texas GOP Senate primary and would ask the other candidate to drop out.

“I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE!” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. “Is that fair? We must win in November!!!”

The Texas GOP Senate primary has advanced to a runoff between current Sen. John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton.

GOP Rep. Wesley Hunt came in third place and will not be a part of the runoff.

James Talarico defeated Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary for Senate.

The runoff for the Texas GOP Senate nominee will take place in May.

Trump said that the primary cannot take place forever.

“The Republican Primary Race for the United States Senate in the Great State of Texas, a State I LOVE and won 3 times in Record Numbers (the HIGHEST vote ever recorded, by far!!!), cannot, for the good of the Party, and our Country, itself, be allowed to go on any longer,” he wrote.

Trump said his endorsements almost always win.

“My Endorsements within the Republican Party have been virtually insurmountable!” he said. “It is such an honor to realize and say that almost everyone I Endorse WINS, and wins by a lot, especially in Texas!”
