Measles exposure at Sacramento County event prompts health officials to contact families

Health officials are working to contact the families of as many as 130 children who may have been exposed to measles at an event in Sacramento County. The California Department of Public Health said on Thursday that a child who was diagnosed with the illness on Wednesday had previously attended an educational program when they were still contagious. Officials have not released exactly when and where that event was held.According to CDPH, that case is connected to five other cases of measles, one other in Sacramento and four in Placer County.
