Final preparations are underway for Saturday’s Chinese New Year parade and festival in San Francisco.

The parade, which is free to attend, starts at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The procession begins at Second and Market streets, goes around Union Square and ends at Kearny Street and Columbus Avenue.

More than 100 different local organizations are participating.

Event organizers said there will be more than a dozen floats, a drone show and even some surprises, with organizers expecting around 200,000 people to attend.

Over the past few years, organizers have seen more and more people attend the event.

Olympic gold medalist and San Francisco native Eileen Gu will be the grand marshal of the parade.
