Kristi Noem has been dismissed from her role as Secretary of Homeland Security, leading to a wave of reactions from California members of Congress. Ami Bera emphasized the need for leadership at the Department of Homeland Security that respects constitutional values, “We must restore leadership at DHS that respects the Constitution, due process, and the rule of law,” Bera said. Josh Harder expressed relief at Noem’s departure, stating, “After months of calling for the resignation or impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, she finally got fired.
