First responders arrived on scene and found an individual with blood on their face and no pulse, according to the statement.
“Personnel initiated full resuscitation efforts and advanced life support measures, but the individual remained unresponsive,” the statement read.
First responders then pronounced the individual deceased at the scene and left the body “in the care of” the Berkeley Police Department.
