BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Traffic came to a standstill on northbound Interstate 5 on Friday night after a semi-trailer caught fire just south of Quail Lake Road, fully engulfing the vehicle. It’s unknown if anyone was hurt.
At least one lane reopened just before 10:30 p.m.
All lanes were stopped at around 9:43 p.m. It was not immediately known when the area would reopen.
The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. Avoid the area, if possible.
