FRESNO, Calif. – The final road swing of the 2025-26 University of Tennessee at Martin equestrian regular season began with a pair of meets today as the Skyhawks fell 16-4 at No. 8 Fresno State before dropping a 12-4 decision to No. 10 Baylor.
              
A trio of UT Martin riders went 2-0 today in their respective events as Ruby Gunderson (horsemanship), Ava Jo Glenn (horsemanship) and Stevie Brown (reining) had undefeated days. Kate Mills added a head-to-head victory in fences against Fresno State while Kailyn Veale tacked on a horsemanship win in the matchup against Baylor.
              
 In the road meet at Fresno State, Gunderson’s win in horsemanship came via a score of 71.25 points while Glenn managed a victory after a 72-point effort. Olivia Wynn (69.25 points), Ava Newsom (67.25) and Kailyn Veale (66.25) completed the Skyhawk lineup.
              
Brown’s win came as a result of a 69.25-point performance while Elise Mason (69.5 points), Claire Carpenter (69.5), Payton Bundy (67.5) and Abby Tibbits (no score) also represented UT Martin in reining.
              
In fences, Mills’ 84.5 points was good enough for a season-high score and her team-best seventh triumph. Caroline Krier made her collegiate debut with 80.5 points while Audrey Morris (77.5), Averey Pritchard (72) and Kathleen DeGenova (48) rounded out the Skyhawk starters.
              
Leading UT Martin in flat was Lydia Jordan, who posted 77.5 points. Shelby Davis came away with 75.5 points and was followed by Mills (73), Camille Panuwat (72.5) and DeGenova (71).
              
The Skyhawks took three out of four points in horsemanship to highlight their neutral-site meet against Baylor. Gunderson’s team-best eighth win came via a 73-point effort while Glenn’s fifth consecutive victory was clinched following a 72.25-point ride. Veale also managed her fifth win of the season with a score of 73.75 points. Wynn completed UT Martin’s lineup with 72.75 points.
              
Brown reeled off her fifth straight victory and team-best sixth win of the 2025-26 campaign with a 67.5-point performance in reining. The Skyhawk reining lineup also included Mason (68.5 points), Tibbits (67.25) and Carpenter (67) as UT Martin was narrowly edged in raw score (272.75 to 270.25).
              
Pritchard’s 83 points paced the Skyhawk fences lineup while DeGenova (80 points), Morris (69) and Mills (68) also represented UT Martin.
              
In flat, DeGenova’s 71.5 points topped the Skyhawks and was followed by Jordan’s 71, Panuwat’s 69.5 and Davis’ 64.
              
UT Martin wraps up the regular season tomorrow with an Eastern College Athletic Conference matchup against No. 9 UC Davis. The meet is set to begin at 12 p.m. CT.
