The final reading and adoption of an ordinance restricting the sale and distribution of nitrous oxide products within city limits goes before the Garden Grove City Council when it meets on Tuesday.
.
The ordinance will prohibit nitrous oxide except for certain uses as in food products – whipped cream, for example – and medical and dental purposes as a mild sedative and for some automotive racing applications.

Aside from those uses, nitrous oxide – also known as “nox” – can be a highly addictive intoxicant, often favored by young persons.

Also on Tuesday, the police department will present an update on e-bike safety and enforcement.

Additionally, the “Community Spotlight” will recognize the Sister City Association of Garden Grove Exchange Student Ambassadors visiting Anyang, Republic of Korea.

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
