(FOX40.COM) — A Sacramento man suspected of sexually assaulting two minors was arrested Thursday, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said that on Wednesday, it received a report of a sexual assault involving a minor and that they identified the suspect as Hasan Alshammari, 23, of Sacramento.

The sheriff’s investigation into Alshammari turned up evidence that he had also sexually assaulted a second minor in February and that the sexual assaults had been committed with force.

With the assistance of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, detectives arrested Alshammari and executed a search of his home, where items allegedly taken from the victims were found.

The sheriff’s office said Alshammari was booked into the Butte County Jail on multiple felony charges, including rape and robbery.
