Sky River Casino’s expanded gaming floor is now open. The casino added 312 new slot machines, bringing its total to 2,500 machines across the property, the Elk Grove casino said in a news release.

The casino had an overnight shutdown in January to allow for a “planned electrical upgrade.”

The casino announced plans in 2024 for a 300-room hotel, expanded gaming space, a day spa with an outdoor pool facility, and a new restaurant and bar to open by 2027, The Sacramento Bee previously reported.

“Each enhancement — from the new slot machines to the evolving resort amenities — moves us toward a world‑class destination that celebrates our connection to the region while embracing new possibilities,” said Chairman Jesus Tarango of Wilton Rancheria in a statement.

The casino, which opened in 2022, spans 100,000 square feet and now has 2,500 slot machines and more than 80 table games. It also features 18 restaurants and bars.

Owned by the Wilton Rancheria in partnership with Boyd Gaming Corp., the casino is located at 1 Sky River Parkway in Elk Grove, about 15 miles southeast of downtown Sacramento.
