Blas Ruiz
OBITUARY
Blas Ruiz was born to Maria Luisa and Blas Ruiz in Holtville, CA. He was a resident of San Jose since 1951. Blas was preceded in death by his brothers Manuel, Henry, Roberto, Gilbert and Jesus Ruiz. Blas is survived by his brother Jimmie and sisters Natalie Jones and Delia Sokol.
Blas served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked at Western Electric for many years until his retirement. Blas then spent his time maintaining the family home and property. He built many windmills and also had a small business repairing televisions. His passion was to build gopher traps to rid his yard of the pesky creatures, he didn’t succeed, but he enjoyed the effort. Blas loved celebrating his birthday.
Blas was a soft spoken, private person. He was generous with his time and always willing to give help as needed. He was loved and will be missed dearly.
