Conference tournament byes bring up the age old discussion about rest versus rust. Only time will tell if Oregon State’s layoff helps or hurts them, but they’ll have more to work with in the backcourt.
Oregon State guards Dez White and Matija Samar each missed the last three regular season games due to injury, but are ready to roll for the WCC Tournament according to head coach Wayne Tinkle. White scored 17 points against San Francisco the last time these two teams played.
San Francisco’s David Fuchs nearly posted a double-double against the Beavers in February, but the Dons will need more from him this time around. He grabbed 16 boards in San Francisco’s first WCC Tournament game against Portland.
