HOLLYWOOD, CA — Fire Saturday damaged an “ascending hillside” home as well as an adjacent structure and surrounding vegetation in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.
More than 100 firefighters were dispatched to the blaze, which was reported around 9:30 a.m. Saturday at 8522 W. Oak St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
They had the blaze out at 10:49 a.m.
“Crews will be on scene for an extended duration conducting overhaul on any hotspots and monitoring the area,” the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
The area was experiencing high winds on Saturday, with a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m.
