LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 11 Long Beach State split on the final day of the Long Beach State Invitational, falling to No. 9 Loyola Marymount, 4-1 and cruising to a 5-0 victory over Santa Clara. Against the Lions, the Beach took the lead after winning the second flight comfortably with Demi Wagdy and Tineke Hinton, 21-12/21-11. LMU (9-4) rallied back as Long Beach State (7-3) took two flights to three sets, with Malia Gementera/Taylor Hagenah and Victoria Henkel/Mahala Esser ultimately both losing in three.
