Congressman Sam Liccardo returned to the Bay Area on Monday to announce San Jose State University will receive $1 million in federal funding.
The money will be used to build a new “Micro Maker” lab focused on making sure students interested in tech jobs get the skilled they need to get hired.
“The dirty little secret of Silicon Valley is that San Jose State provides more graduates in computer science and engineering STEM field than any other university to fuel Silicon Valley companies and success,” Liccardo said during his campus visit.
