McFarland police arrest 13-year-old over alleged threats to shoot at unknown school

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 13-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly making threats to shoot at an unknown school in McFarland.

The McFarland Police Department said on Friday, March 6, 2026, officers received information about a 13-year-old boy making threats to shoot at an unknown school in McFarland.

The juvenile threatened to shoot up a school on Tuesday, March 10, according to police.

Police said through investigation, the boy was identified and arrested for making criminal threats and booked into Juvenile Hall.
