Re “Forcing change on City Hall” (March 8): I would suggest a stronger rebuke than the canceling of the new trash collection fees for two years. We should force change on City Hall more literally by voting all eight of the officials responsible for imposing the fees — Mayor Todd Gloria, City Attorney Heather Ferbert and City Council members Joe LaCava, Sean Elo-Rivera, Jennifer Campbell, Kent Lee, Vivian Moreno and Stephen Whitburn — out of office. I don’t feel it’s too strong a word to say these individuals have betrayed San Diego’s voters and sold themselves to unions. They no longer represent the people, and the people need to remember all eight of their names and never vote for them again.
