LOS ANGELES, CA — A brief system outage prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to ground all JetBlue flights for more than half an hour Tuesday morning, KTLA reported.
According to the FAA, the temporary ground stop was lifted about 40 minutes after it was issued.
Ground stops are imposed to temporarily suspend planes from flying while issue are being resolved. Planes that are in mid-flight when ground stops are issued usually continue to their destination without disruption.
“A brief system outage has been resolved and we have resumed operations,” JetBlue said in a statement.
The company did not elaborate on the cause of the system outage.
No additional information was immediately available.
