The Marin County Sheriff’s Office in California confirmed Tuesday that investigators recently served a search warrant at a home in southern Maine in connection with one of its ongoing investigations.Officials said Marin County Sheriff’s detectives traveled to Maine to carry out an investigative search warrant at a residence, and they were assisted by members of the York County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Boston Division.On Wednesday, March 4, the York County Sheriff’s Office announced that it was conducting an investigation with the FBI in the 700 block of Main Street in Waterboro.Reporter Cate McCusker went to the scene at 795 Main St., where she spotted FBI agents and local law enforcement officers digging in the snow and sifting through boxes and belongings on the property.McCusker also saw agents in hazmat suits and others with cameras and clipboards.
