Oakland’s Restaurant Week is returning March 12-22, with more than a hundred eateries offering meal deals and special menus.

Folks looking for a reason to partake might recall that this winter, Oakland was voted best food city in the U.S. by readers of Conde Nast Traveler (for the second year in a row). It’s also a good time to support local restaurants, in a city where seemingly any business can close on the flip of a dime – and with some restaurant staff (particularly at Jaji and Parche) still hurting from a downtown fire this January.

“Explore exclusive menus, special offers and unique activations celebrating the city’s culture and cuisine,” Visit Oakland announced. “Don’t miss this 10-day feast of global flavors in one of America’s top food destinations. Favorite foodie hot-spots include Jack London Square and Temescal to Uptown and Fruitvale, to name a few, making Oakland Restaurant Week a perfect BARTable event.”

There are far too many places to list individually, but here’s a sampling of what’s on offer. For more information, and for the menus that’ve been posted so far, check out Visit Oakland (visitoakland.com):
