Youngsters in Pacific Beach and Mission Beach will soon be searching for colorful plastic eggs and the sweet treats that often accompany them.

The Pacific Beach Recreation Center’s annual egg hunt will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at the center, 1405 Diamond Street. The free event will include bounce houses, face painting and arts and crafts activities.

The main event will be the egg hunts. There will be three, based on age groups. First will be youngsters up to age 3 at 9:30 a.m. They will be followed by ages 4 to 7 at 10 a.m. and last will be ages 8 to 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Kings Cross Church will hold its free Easter Carnival open to everyone in the community from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 5 in Kate Sessions Park, 5115 Soledad Road in Pacific Beach.

The event will include activities for kids and families, such as games, an egg hunt, food trucks and music.

Belmont Park is holding an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 2 to 12 on Sunday, April 5 at Fit Social, 3125 Ocean Front Walk in Mission Beach.

There are four time slots available, each costs $10 per child. The egg hunts for ages 2 to 6 are at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., while the egg hunts for ages 7 to 12 are at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. To purchase, visit belmontpark.com.
