WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A child who was kidnapped nearly six years ago from California has now been found in Washington County.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says it learned that the 11-year-old was enrolled in a local school under an alias.
The child was found safe today.
According to a missing persons poster, Karen Rojas was 5 years old when she was kidnapped from Duarte, California, on June 2, 2020.
The sheriff’s office says no more information is being released at this time.
