The injury to Sung-Mun Song has caused manager Craig Stammen and the Padres to consider placing him on the IL, keeping him off the Opening Day roster to allow him to fully recover from an oblique injury that he suffered earlier in the offseason and re-aggravated last week. Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune continues his roster review with his focus on German Marquez, who is looking to fill the fifth starter spot in the rotation.
