A week after announcing its highly anticipated lineup for 2026, Outside Lands has revealed PinkPantheress as a surprise addition to the San Francisco music festival. Organizers shared the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old British singer, songwriter and producer will be one of the most hyped acts on the festival’s roster. At the time of writing, her track “Stateside” sits at the seventh spot on the Billboard Top 100. Her most recent mixtape, “Fancy That,” placed near the top of several critics’ year-end lists.

PinkPantheress began drawing attention in 2021 for tracks like “I Must Apologise” and “Break It Off,” which effortlessly wove together pop melodies with drum and bass breaks. The artist half raps, half sings over beats that could fit in a nightclub’s subwoofers.

It’s proved a popular combination. Recently, figure skater Alysa Liu performed to “Stateside” at the Olympic Exhibition Gala, mirroring some of the dance moves from the song’s music video. In a Pitchfork interview, Liu called PinkPantheress’ album “Heaven Knows” her “perfect 10-out-of-10 album.”

Outside Lands is scheduled to take place on the Golden Gate Park Polo Field the weekend of Aug. 7. Headliners for the festival include Charli XCX, Baby Keem, Turnstile and the XX.

“What the flip is going on YALL????” PinkPantheress wrote in a recent Instagram post. “Stateside is number 1 on the us spotify chart , just got back from the most amazing time at laneway festival and my first show evaaaa in japan!!!

“Girl stateside was at the mf olympicsssss!!” the artist continued. “Dreams rlly do come true.”

At the time of writing, three-day VIP and three-day GA+ tickets for Outside Lands are sold out.
