The Orange County Fair’s seasonal pumpkin patch embraces this year’s fall season with fun activities for all ages to engage in.
The yearly pumpkin patch is free admission, with free parking from Monday through Thursday.
Upon entry, the petting zoo is the first station to check out. Inside the petting zoo were plenty of hay to sit on or take photos with a pumpkin and a pen with farm animals. Children could walk into the pen and play with pigs, chickens, and baby goats.
Hannah Mustafa was one of the adults checking out what the pumpkin patch had to offer with her family.
“The petting zoo, top notch,” said Mustafa when talking about her favorite part of the pumpkin patch. “The petting zoo is my answer for everything.”
Visitors between the ages of 3-15 years old can slide down the bouncy houses. Parents can go on a small train with their kids that takes them around the pumpkin patch.
Giovanna Scandone is another visitor who spent her first time at the OC fair with her friends.
“I don’t come here every year but I love pumpkin patches,” Scandone said. “It’s our first time here. It’s cute, the rides, families.”
Visitor Ron Smith, is one of Scandone’s friends who came down to California from Australia to experience California’s version of the fall season.
“I’m from Australia,” Smith said. “I heard about this event and I bought a plane ticket.”
There were food trucks and booths serving fair food such as deep fried oreos, churros, and a variety of beverages.
The OC Fair placed baskets of pumpkins for sale throughout the patch and a farmers market for visitors to shop around.
There was also a small selection of christmas trees available for visitors to get in touch with their holiday spirit early.
