OAKLAND, CA — A man accused of prowling and peeping into people’s homes in the East Bay for several months has been arrested, police said.

The man’s identity was not publicly revealed. The Oakland Police Department said they found the suspect around 11 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Carrington Street. It’s unclear what led offices to identify the man as a suspect, with police saying the investigation is ongoing.

Police issued a warning about the suspect earlier this month after several Oakland residents reported seeing a man sneaking around in their yards, peeking into their homes and then engaging in “inappropriate behavior,” according to authorities.

The suspect has been linked to at least six incidents, and police believe other reports dating back to March 2025 are also connected, police said.

Police are still looking for additional possible victims and ask that anyone who may have more information contact the agency at 510-238-3641.
