An intimate new restaurant just landed in Los Angeles!
From Chef Alejandro Eusebio comes Amiguita, a new, 34-seat restaurant. Opening March 11, 2026, the cuisine of Amiguita embraces Eusebio’s Afro-Caribbean heritage and will center around a Mibrasa charcoal oven.
The Chef calls the new restaurant his most personal project to date.
“Latin cuisine has always been at my core, but has not been the focal point of my menus in over 22 years,” said Eusebio in a statement. “As one of the few classically trained Dominican chefs in the states, I feel drawn to honor my heritage while weaving in the experiences that have shaped my life and cooking. This restaurant is a reflection of that journey, and I’m excited to share it with the Silver Lake community.”
Amiguita’s food will reflect Eusebio’s culture, childhood in the Dominican Republic, and the cooking techniques he’s learned over his 25 year career. He was also mentored by James Beard Award-Winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez and Cuban-American Chef Alex García, and has appeared on Hispanic Magazine’s “America’s Top 50 Latin Restaurants” as well as appeared as a contestant on Top Chef Season 5.
The limited dinner menu is centered around a Mibrasa charcoal oven and is served family style. It currently includes:
Yaniqueque Straciatella
Plantain Gnocchi
Charcoal Grilled Mussels with coconut milk and aji amarillo.
Yellowtail Tiradito
Mibrasa Vaca Frita
Eusebio is collaborating with Mara Herbkersman from The Ruby Fruit on the drink menu, which will include small-production wines, Caribbean beers, and fermented cocktails.
“It’s really exciting to be able to work with Alex in a new capacity at Amiguita,” said Herbkersman in a statement. “We’ve always bounced ideas off of each other during our careers, and it’s such a unique and rewarding experience to be able to transform that foundational friendship and mentorship into a beautiful concept that is at the core of Alex’s history.”
