A bluff collapsed near a popular beach area in Del Mar on Wednesday, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

State park officials notified deputies around 6 a.m. Wednesday about a collapsing bluff near Del Mar Dog Beach, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

NBC 7 went to the point of collapse and determined the affected area was about 10 feet by 10 feet.

About 40 minutes later, the sheriff’s office reported the area was under control.

No further details were immediately available.
