San Jose police are now asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate an attack and possible hate crime at a Santana Row restaurant.

The police announcement comes after a group posted claims on social media that it believes may have identified the suspects.

The surprise, brutal attack was caught on camera when three men are seen beating two people outside the Augustine Restaurant on Sunday at Santana Row.

The victims, who asked not to be identified, said they believe they were attacked because they were speaking in Hebrew. Police said they are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.

Jewish Silicon Valley denounced the attack, but declined to comment on the online post. The CEO of the group is currently meeting with city officials to talk about how to prevent this type of incident from happening again.
