The Fullerton City Council will hold a public hearing on November 4, 2025, regarding the proposed abandonment and vacation of a segment of Commonwealth Avenue located south and east of 1747 West Commonwealth Avenue. This initiative, requested by Grace Ministries International, aims to facilitate private parking for the organization.
The Planning Commission previously endorsed this decision, stating that the area in question is unnecessary for current or future public use. An easement for public services and utilities will be reserved despite the abandonment.
The council’s meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Fullerton Council Chamber, located at 303 West Commonwealth Avenue. Notices will be posted along the affected street segment two weeks prior to the hearing, as mandated by law.
Residents are invited to offer their input during this important meeting.
