TROY, MI — A man has been charged in connection with a Troy bank robbery that happened earlier this week, according to police.

Jaquan Coreyonteliace Burks-Burnett, 32, was charged with bank robbery and placed in jail with a $50,000 bond.

The robbery happened at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Fifth Third Bank located at 2282 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy, according to police.

Police said Burks-Burnett walked into the bank and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen and no one was injured, according to police.

Investigators tracked Burks-Burnett to Flint where they arrested him roughly four hours later in connection with the robbery, according to police.
